My attitude towards the gym and fitness changed on the 8th day of going. Something in me shifted forever while doing jumping jacks. It was the realization that I had done something I always found difficult to do. A sudden rush of pride and happiness overcame me. I broke all the barriers, and I wanted to feel this again and again. I couldn’t stop working out, and it changed everything. The same will happen with you. But the question is: are you going to allow it? Are you going to be committed to taking the first step?
Everything that seems like a mountain right now will become something you love. You won’t even do it for the results—the results will be the fruit, but you’ll want to do it for the energy, the joy, the fulfillment it brings. It will be a different type of obsession, one that leads you to your best version, something you always wanted—but it will be even better and greater than that.
When we go through a lot of difficulties, our body becomes numb. Awareness and knowledge are the first requirements. That’s why only focusing on working out or dieting doesn’t work. You have to take a holistic approach—from emotions, to past experiences, to who you truly are, and the science behind it.
